“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest the patient in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease.”
We’re not satisfied with just treating your symptoms, we are dedicated to finding the underlying problem or cause. This helps us provide you with the most appropriate care to help you heal and re-gain your health. You can expect effective, natural treatments from the staff at Woodstock Chiropractic!
During your initial visit, we want to get to know you.
You will see a doctor or chiropractic intern, not a nurse or medical assistant. Your doctor will take a complete health history, perform a thorough exam, and listen/ discuss your goals and concerns. If indicated, we will schedule x-rays and any necessary referrals for additional testing which could include: MRI, CT, ultrasound, EMG and nerve conduction velocity testing.
We will design a treatment plan for you to meet your goals. We provide a variety of in office services as well as exercises and equipment to improve your symptoms. In some cases we will recommend natural supplements, neck or back pillows, lumbar belts, or ice packs to decrease pain and inflammation at home.
Should you require care we cannot provide, you will be referred to an outside specialist. We coordinate with your existing health provider, assuring complete case management.
At Woodstock Chiropractic, we make adjustments to your joints to decrease your pain, increase your flexibility, decrease muscle spasm and improve your function. Chiropractic adjustments can be hands on or with mild activator methods technique depending on your comfort level.
We use massage to relieve your muscle tension and pain, while increasing flexibility, and ridding your body tissues of lactic acid and other waste. Through touch and muscle manipulation, including hands on soft tissue trigger point therapy, you’ll experience better circulation, stress relief, and faster healing.
Depending upon your specific injury, you may have lost mobility, range of motion and/or experience pain. Through a variety of treatments – which can include electrical muscle stimulation, heat, ice, and traction – you can expect alleviation of pain, increased circulation, decreased swelling and muscle spasms. These methods can help strengthen, relax and heal your muscles.
We will also give you supplemental exercises that you can do at home to decrease pain, increase mobility, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
If you’re suffering from disc injury, we have a decompression table designed to provide traction/decompression for the discs in your spine. Spinal decompression helps relieve lower back and leg pain, as well as help restore proper motion, and promote disc and soft tissue healing.
A specialized light applied to your area of pain can promote faster healing. It can decrease your pain by decreasing inflammation, increasing circulation, and improving wound healing by repairing damaged tissues.
We offer on-site X-rays at both of our locations. The convenience of having on-site X-rays allows for rapid turn-around of results and for us to quickly implement them into your treatment plan.
If needed, we work closely with other medical professionals including, but not limited to, neurologists, surgeons, orthopedic specialists, massage and physical therapists, and acupuncturists.
We can also refer you to a number of trusted partners to assist you in legal advice/representation.
